Situation 1: Local Christian wants us to stop evangelizing?

Response: Pray! Obey! Don't be fearful! Don't be foolish! .... and remember, no movement of any kind in the history of the planet has been without risk. Boldness (out of love for the people, not prideful defiance) is a characteristic of rapidly advancing CP movements. Particularly boldness on the part of new converts. But your attitude sets the example. Early Christians showed their boldness primarily in good deeds first, then words explaining their actions and the miraculous. They would care for the highly contagious sick that had been abandoned by everyone else, including their families. Putting themselves at risk. They figured they had nothing to lose -- if they contracted the disease and died, they would get an early graduation to heaven out this evil, harsh world; if the person recovered, it would be a might testimony of God's love, usually converting the recovered healthy person and their family that had abandoned them. They thought of it as a Win-Win situation. So my counsel is be radically bold in deeds that beg explanation. When they ask you to give an explanation, humbly and simply tell them where your motivation, power and fearlessness comes from. -- Paul H, CPC
