Situation 2: "Our friends just visited Erdenet (Mongolia) and could not find the church you planted and told of in the story, 'Khan of Khans'." What happened?"?
Response: I assure you that the church in Erdenet is doing well. It is considered the strongest church in Mongolia. They also have planted numerous daughter and granddaughter churches across Mongolia. There is even a YWAM base and training school in Erdenet that the church there helped start. I think that your friends' problem was that they were looking for a "church" in the Western sense of that word, rather than the New Testament sense. As the article states, this is a cell group based church and it meets in living rooms all over the city. This makes it hard to find. They do have regular large Celebration meetings (on Sunday) but since they don't own a building, they move around from rented hall to rented hall. They have a church office in an apartment with no sign out front. The only way to find the church in Erdenet would be to know someone, call ahead, or ask around (tough if you only speak English). If you still have doubts I can send you photos or put you directly in touch with the church leaders. May God Bless you! -- Brian H, CPC
