There is no single, correct answer to this question.  We recommend the following 5 pages as a general starting place.

  • Home Page (possibly include a 30 second video) Home page is about your customer. It should establish you as the expert and feature your products and services.
  • About Us Page is about your business and should include a picture, your experience and how long you've been open.
  • Content Page(s) This is what you do or sell.

My last "web guy" went back to work at his old job and stopped returning my calls. Are you going to abandon me?

Answer

No, Duncan Multi-Media is not a side-job or hobby. It is our business. Our servers are in a telecommunications grade datacenter in the heart of the Dallas Business district. We take serving our clients very seriously and hope to have a business relationship with each of our clients for many years.

Okay, so you're committed. What if you get hit by a bus?

We have contingency plans in place.  There are 3 individuals that have access to key systems and plans have been made to continue operations in such an event.

Do you have to charge sales tax?

Answer

Yes, According to the Texas Comptroller's Office, the following services are taxable.

 Data processing Using a computer for word processing, data entry, data production, or compilation, storage, and manipulation of information. Examples of data processing include check preparation, accounts payable or receivable preparation, and web site creation, storage and maintenance. Merely using a computer as a tool to help perform a professional service is not a data processing service.

 Information services Furnishing general or specialized news or other current information or electronic data research or retrieval. News syndicates, financial reporters, and investment researchers must collect tax on their services. These services are not taxable, however, when provided to Federal Communications Commission (FCC)-licensed radio or television stations or newspapers published daily, weekly, or other short interval.

Can I have access to my website?

Answer

Yes, in fact, we want to have access to make changes whenever you want or need to do so.  Although we are here to help you whenever you need it, in most cases, by the time you call or email us to communicate your needs, you can simply make the changes yourself.

Is it hard to make changes?

Answer

No, if you can use email and word processing software like Open Office or Microsoft Word, you already have the skills needed to manage your website on our system.

What kinds of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, travellers checks, Spanish Doubloons, Paypal, Google Wallet and all major credit cards. You can click here to make a payment.

What kind of work do you perform?

Answer

Duncan Multi-Media generally engages in Web-Based Business Development Projects.  That work primarily includes the development of websites, but we will, generally speaking, engage in any legal, moral and ethical business venture that involves computers or any electronic medium. Are there any kinds of work that you will not do?

Answer

Yes, we will not knowingly engage in any illegal, immoral or unethical jobs.  This includes any project that is in violation of trade dress, trademark, US Copyright law, Texas Occupational Code or that is libelous or otherwise harmful.

Do you perform Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Answer

Yes, much of what optimizes a website is included in the project's initial development.  There are, however, long term SEO tasks that can be handled very well by our sister company, Main Street Web Promotions.
